Chelsea's appeal over Thibaut Courtois' suspension after he was shown a red card in Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Swansea City has been unsuccessful. Courtois, 23, was sent off for denying Bafetimbi Gomis a clear goal-scoring opportunity when he collided with the Swansea striker on the edge of the penalty area 52 minutes into the Premier League clash.
