Charlie Austin to be offered new QPR contract if striker isn't sold - Ferdinand

on Tuesday, 11 August 2015

ESPN FC's Craig Burley gives his take on Charlie Austin's transfer options and whether or not Newcastle is a good fit for the forward. Queens Park Rangers have rejected Leicester City's £12 million bid for striker Charlie Austin. Queens Park Rangers will offer Charlie Austin a new contract if no club meets his £15 million asking price. Striker Austin was widely expected to leave Loftus Road this summer following Rangers' relegation from the Premier League. Newcastle, Leicester and West Ham have been linked with the 26-year-old, who scored 18 top-flight goals last season. Austin remains at the club with only three weeks of the transfer window remaining and started their 2-0 Championship defeat at Charlton on Saturday.
