Leading sports doctor Peter Brukner slams José Mourinho’s decision to change the responsibilities of Chelsea’s first-team doctor Eva Carneiro, after he criticised the medical team, following the 2-2 draw with Swansea on Saturday. The former head of sports medicine at Liverpool FC, and now the Australian cricket team doctor, says the medics were rightly responding to the referees instructions. Carneiro has been banned from attending to players on match days after running on to the pitch to treat attacker Eden Hazard on Saturday, meaning he was taken out of play temporarily.
